Stay Strong

Back in my secondary school, there was a junior of mine that was involved in the spread of pornographic videos and pictures of herself and her few other male friends. It was a something*some (I am not too sure of the number of people in the video because I did not REALLY watch it), you know what I mean right? Yes, those kids make love, they got high and they recorded it.

That girl was a Form 3 students and her future was blown apart when her male friends transferred the video to the whole school. My friends from other schools also knew about it and she did not attend school for a week. When she came back, her class mates ignored her completely, because for them a girl who studied in a "kelas aliran agama" should never do that kind of stupid thing. Then I heard that she had been expelled from the school, but some said she asked to move out of the school due to the public humiliation.

Then, the video became a hit in the internet and the people in my town were talking about the school girl. And what irks me so much is that they blame the girl ONLY, and not the other boys as well. To my acknowledge, some of the boys still studied in the school like nothing had happened. Look at how the society easily points their fingers to that poor girl.

What I am trying to say here is that, we sometimes do not realize that we blame the wrong person, or maybe we did not look back at our mistakes. Yes, they had sex and got it taped but why do WE watch it? And why do WE blame the girl without even considering about her family's feeling?

Think about it this way; what if it happens to our family one day? To my readers, if you come across this kind of incident one day, please do not bully the do-er or the victim by watching, spreading or uploading such a video on the internet. Everybody makes mistakes, and we learn better that way. To the victim/do-er, just stay strong and please do not commit suicide. Let bygones be bygones, and stay strong!

P/S: I know I am in no position to talk about this, but I write it based on humanity.
