Salam guys and girls, how is your first day of raya going? My family and I went for "solat sunat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri" at Surau IPD Daerah Seberang Perai Utara as it was compulsory for all police to attend it. Then we had a bit of "jamuan hari raya" there and I ate a lot of lemang which is my favorite.
After my family had a session of photography and "bermaaf-maafan", we all started to get visitors from our neighborhood, mostly kids. I asked "Nak makan atau duit raya jer?" because I expected that they all wanted to collect duit raya only. However, they were quite tired of going all around the world to collect duit raya and wanted to eat and drink as well.
Then I served raya cookies, ketupat and lemang and gave them duit raya because my parents went out already at that time. After Zuhur, my sister and I decided to leave the house as well because we have promised to visit my friends in Baling Kedah. I will write more about it in my next post, wait anxiously people!
