IPBA's Next Top Model

It was a lousy Tuesday during English Language Society yesterday.

I decided to do something that is out of our mind with my friends.

At that point of time, the other guys were not in yet.

I took out my handphone, and captured loads of crazy pictures as you can see in the previous post.

Suddenly, this stupid idea came out from my mouth.

I said to Nateesha and Niwashini that they were the last two contestants who were going to compete in the run to become the first

IPBA's Next Top Model.

The prizes for the competition is:

Hey, I'm searching for a true best friend, doesn't matter you are a guy or a girl. I'm seeking for a noble heart who can take care of me, a shoulder that I can cry on and someone that can support whatever I do. He or she must love me as his or her true best friend, (no heart feelings is involved), a friend that can always share problems with each other, take care of each other and be honest.

I need a friend that can catch me if I fall, who can make me laugh when I cry, who learns to forgive and forget my mistakes, the one who is not a hypocrite and a truthful person for him/her and myself.

A friend is indeed the other part of my soul so we will share everything if we meet. I know I demanded too much,

Random Pictures: Activities of The Week!

I went to Amcorp Mall to buy groceries and personal items with Fiqah(in scarf) and Lam(yellow t-shirt). It was raining cats and dogs and they had to use box to cover their head. It was a memorable experience actually, especially when it comes to getting inside Amcorp with drenched jeans and t-shirt! Kudos to Lam and Fiqah for being very sporting!!!

Thursday is Batik Day for every government servant, especially teachers! So, this is the picture of Niwashini, Nateesha and me, Azham Vosivic in Batik!!! We are IPBA's hot stuffs yeah!

Went to jog in University of Malaya with Shafik and Nateesha, and this is his "horny" picture that I'd captured. Don't get him wrong because I was the one who asked him to pose that way. Kudos to Shafik!!!

LDV Assignment Reflection

Language Development (LDV) Assignment Reflection

Two weeks ago, all TESLians were given their first assignment for second semester. We were to provide a critical essay about any current issues. I chose the issue about “family”, and narrowed it down to discuss why husband and wife should not divorce. Firstly, we were to find three articles related to the issue via various resources. I collected my articles from online newspaper, magazine and newspaper. Then, we were asked to create a Graphic Organizer or short notes as proofs that we had read those articles. After that, we had to come out with a critical review based on our articles of about 500-700 words.

Firstly, I think the assignment had helped me to gain my confidence in writing. Now, I have more courage to critically discuss about an issue. I knew it by now that in a critical review, the most important thing that counts is how we elaborate our points so that the reader will be convinced by our point of view. There is no right or wrong opinions in a critical review. We have to make sure that the readers believe us by reading our points in the critical review.

Secondly, I had improved my language and writing skills a lot while trying to finish this essay. I managed to read a lot of other references about how to create a critical review and gained more knowledge on how to write a good critical essay. I read a lot of articles before trying to settle this assignment. It helped because at least students like me will have a general idea and direction for the essay. I realized that critical review is actually an interesting essay to be done.

As a conclusion, I think that the assignments given managed to help me to improve myself. It is quite challenging but interesting. I will try to do my best for other upcoming assignments. There are still rooms for improvement and I will prove to everyone that I can be a great English teacher one day.

How to Prevent Snatch Theft

Nowadays, we heard many cases about snatch theft happening in our country. Snatch theft had grab lives of many unfortunate Malaysians. They are expecting mother and seniors citizens who were killed because of this immoral crime. News about this matter had shocked many Malaysians and fired up anger and concern among them. I agree to say that as Malaysians, we should put this matter to a stop. We can actually help to curb this problem from happening so I would like to discuss about the prevention of snatch theft.

Firstly, women should not wear too many jewelries and purposely showing it to the public. When in public, try to dress the minimal you can be. It is not about the amount of jewelries you wore but how you make yourself look beautiful wearing it. Be cautious is the best attitude because we cannot always detect the criminal. Do not hesitate to call for help when you saw anybody suspicious. Try to travel
'light’ or most preferably leave unnecessary jewelries in a
safety deposit box in the bank or at home so that if you lost your jewelries in a snatch theft, you will still have something valuable at safety.

Secondly, never go off the beaten track alone. Make sure that you do not use dark and empty lane, especially at night. Try to use road with a great number of user and lighted with road lamps so that if anything happens, they will be informed and can take immediate action. If you are venturing out somewhere unknown, make sure that you go in a group other friends or families are informed. There is safety in numbers plus you can take care of each other for a safe journey.

Thirdly, you should never try to leave your belongings unattended in your house or car. There are cases reported about snatch theft in parking areas and houses. These thieves will look for laptops and credit cards left in car. I would suggest that you carry all your valuables to wherever you go. It is safer because your car will also be saved from being broken into and you also do not have to go through all the hardship to claim for the insurance.

Lastly, I think that public area with an inclining number of snatch thefts should be installed with Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). Some area such as in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur has been installed with CCTV and it actually works to help to reduce snatch theft. The images captured can be used to identify the criminal and will raise concern for the doer.

As a conclusion, I would like to hear one day that there will be fewer cases heard about snatch thefts. Malaysia is a free country so I hope that Malaysians will be more concern and will try to improve a better environment for all citizens.
