Hap-PENANG : Day 1

Salam guys and girls! Tonight, I would like to update my blog with a little something from my recent trip to Penang. It was just a sweet 2 days of experience with Yazzeid, Aliff, Amariah, Hakimah and Adibah. We arrived at Butterworth KTM Station before 6 AM last Sunday and after we performed our Subuh prayer, we headed straight to the jetty. The picture above was taken after the sun finally decided to wake up from its sweet dream.

Our first destination was Taman Tun Sardon because Aliff said that we can get scrumptious food there! It was finally proven because there were so many stalls selling breakfast with uncountable menus and choices!

For breakfast, Amariah, Hakimah and Adibah decided to have "Char Koay Teow" and it was quite surprising for me. I never thought that we can find 'char koay teow' that early in the morning and I love it so much! Now I can get away from the conventional 'nasi lemak' and 'roti canai' for breakfast!

Aliff also introduced us to this unique "kuih" called "apom manis". It was sweet but not too much, I love it!

Our next destination was the Snake Temple, situated somewhere near the airport. At first we thought that the visit to the temple would be boring but it turned out to be the other way around!

We got the chance to interact with the snakes and take pictures with them. Honestly, I really don't like snakes but the visit has managed to changed my phobia. I mean, I still don't like to have my shoulders wrapped with python but at least I know now that snakes are very sensitive creatures.

This uncle thought me all that! He even kissed the cobra and bathed it; well that's so cute! He is so brave and I hope that he will keep educating the visitors about the real 'skin' of a snake!

But before that, look at the size of this python! I am sure it can swallow a 5-year old kid right?

This cute girl is the daughter of that uncle. Look at how gentle she is with the snake!

Not to forget, observe my friends' hands because they don't even touch the snake, especially Yazid hehehe

This tortoise is so big that it does not want to move. Poor Amariah, she cannot persuade it t even crawl back to the pond.

I still feel 'geli' when it comes to touching the snake but I tried to touch its head, and I made it, yuhuuu!

You know how does it feels like? Try to touch your mother's snake skin handbag and that is the feeling... That uncle reminded me that more than one snake is needed to make a handbag, so please do not hunt animals for its skins!

Trust me, the trip to the Snake Temple has benefited us a lot! We just have to pay RM 2.70 each for the bus fare from the jetty to the temple, and RM 3 for the entry free to the snake farm. That is so cheap right, compared to the experience and knowledge you could gain?

And there, we bought ourselves a hat because Penang is so HOT! I bought this hat for RM 10 only as I cannot get it for that price in Kuala Lumpur. So, that is where my friends started to call me Mr Bruno Azham or Azham Mars. Jaazli Ahmad, don't blame me!

P/S: Wait for my next blog entry yea...so many things to share.
