Dato' Lee Chong Wei did not fail us all, in fact he made us as a whole nation proud of his achievement in London. What made me even prouder was when #DLCW tweeted "I'm sorry" right after the final badminton match with Lin Dan from China, which I believe is so humble and very sweet in a way. I can really feel the pressure in him to bring back Malaysia's first gold medal in an Olympic game so that explains his tears when he felt like he had disappointed Malaysia.
#DLCW managed to gather all Malaysians regardless of their race, status, gender and political views in front of the television screen (or at the stadium for some) on the night of the final match, and that is really #Dato' Lee Chong Wei's Effect. Right after the game, an ESPN commentator mentioned that "Lee Chong Wei is such a great guy, but Lin Dan is a bit arrogant. Skills win you medals but attitude wins heart" and that quote truly touches the heart of all Malaysians. |

#DLCW not only struggled to bring back the gold medal but he went through the pain of his previous injury and still put up a great fight with his opponent in Beijing and London. #DLCW and his smash as the number 1 World-Ranked Badminton Player really inspires the nation to make an even better challenge next time, and apparently Dato' Lee Chong Wei has agreed to continue Malaysia's Gold Medal Mission in 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
