Okay, I know that I am in the middle of a final examination and I am supposed to be reading notes etc but I went out to One Utama yesterday. My initial plan was to buy a train ticket at KL Sentral and study in KLCC but on my way there, Fly FM announcer mentioned about 8TV's 8th Anniversary and I thought, "Why not?".
The anniversary celebration was held at One Utama Old Wing open car park, where there were lots of booths and games, free drinks and snacks, celebrities walking past you and many awesome prizes! Here is the main stage, where a concert was held at night and the countdown to 8TV 8th Anniversary was done. Those who waited until midnight got to win an iPad 2 and an iPhone for lucky draws!
The emcees at the stage are Baki and Naquib, two talented young Malaysians that I adore their English! I wish I could speak so fluent and handle my own TV show one day, insyaallah. Baki and Naquib gave away lots of cool prizes, and one can win it by answering easy questions, really.
On the stage, there were performances by the Showdown 2011 contestants, violin and drums played by our talented Malaysians and many more. I truly enjoyed the shows and many others too I am sure.
Here is Hafiz and Zher from Fly FM auctioning off a Puma singlet for women and it is sold for only RM5! Can you imagine that? All items are sponsored by 8TV celebrities and the money collected will be given to charity houses.
Julie Woon was present too and she did her part by auctioning off a Puma sweatshirt and it was sold for RM 30. Isn't she gorgeous people?
This is Ryan from the 8TV Quickie and he handled the Remember the Lyrics session. I took part in this segment and sang Yuna Dan Sebenarnya and won the karaoke session. I took away a Desperate Housewives Juice Maker, an exclusive Without Boundary bagpack and a skin product sponsored by SOSkin Paris, alhamdulillah.
Then I moved on to the games booth, which I managed to collect a lot of goodies bags. Basically, one needs to win the game and manages to bring back as many bags as you can, as there were 16 booths altogether. I went to 3 booths only, since I have a lot of stuff to carry then I stopped.
This is the Shout Award booth, and the other awards won by 8TV crews and shows. Congrats 8people!
I was so excited to see this Extreme Sports show, where those BMX riders did stunts that I totally admire. I still remember my era when my friends were so engrossed in owning a BMX bike, I am sure some of you bloggers do too right?
This is the Journey to the West booth, where I have to snap a photo with the characters to win goodies bag. Easy peasy right?
Then at around 5PM, the 8Team crew came to give away free stuffs and I got an exclusive 8TV umbrella and posters huhu...
This is one of the cutest booth at the event. Can you spot the bubbles? Let us see what it will come to be...
The 8TV bubble! Yeah, it was so cute and there were lots of bubbles in the air...
This is a SUMO game booth, where visitors can win prizes by defeating the opponent like a real SUMO but with less weight and weird outfit hahaha...
Wildlife Booth by Sunway Lagoon...
So when I was walking alone at the event, taking photos and everything, suddenly I saw this familiar face! It was Suzai from Sizzling Suzai. She is a blogger mate of mine and we have been to several events together. Luckily she was there so I did not feel bored and alone.
While walking and catching up stories, she approached this bald guy and said "Hey, I met you once few years back" and they were talking for a really long time. I butt into the conversation and the three of us really talked a lot but I seriously did not know him at first. Then when he left, I asked Suzai about that guy and she said, "Hey, it's Hafiz from Fly FM!" and I was like "Hey I always hear him on the radio but have never seen his photo!". I felt so dumb you know, Hafiz was so near to me yet I did not recognized him hahaha.
So at about 7PM we left the event and went separate ways. Imagine that I took a bus from One Utama to Kelana Jaya LRT station with these items:
A Without Boundary Bagpack, 3 Laurier goodies bags (the bags were sponsored by Laurier but the contents were not okay), a big box of Desperate Housewives Juice Maker and other stuffs. Other bus and LRT passengers looked at me strangely but I do not mind. I am so happy that time that I do not care about that Laurier goodies bag hahaha.
I managed to collect 13 BB cream sample from Maybeline New York, 2 BizzyBody and FacialFirst vouchers worth RM 220 each, and one Serene Aesthetics voucher worth RM 50.
This is the Desperate Hosuewives Juice Maker, SOSkin Paris product and Wyclef Jean CD. Alhamdulillah, I am very thankful to Allah for letting me out and distress myself from the pressure of final examination. I am so grateful, that I managed to achieve things I wanted so bad in life. I hope that one day, I can work along with those celebrities in this entertainment industry. My another aim is to become a TV presenter and insyaallah, I will work my hardest. Only the sky is the limit ;)
