Look Out for Kuala Lumpur

:Background Music:
KL Kita by Yuna ft Qi Razali
Ampang Look Out Point
It has always been my dreams to go to Ampang Look Out Point; and since 4 years ago I have been longing to step my feet there. I wrote a blog post about Bukit Ampang here, and everyday I keep thinking about it. It is not easy for me to go there because I am not familiar with the roads in Ampang plus I do not own a car to drive up there.
Alhamdulillah, when my friends in Serdang had other plans on one night, I told my other friend Aliff that I want to rent his car and go somewhere, and Aliff wanted to join me so the two of us headed to Setapak to eat Char Koay Teow first.

I was so hungry that I had a medium size of Char Koay Teow for RM 5.50 and Nasi Lemak Telur Mata for RM 2 (if I'm not mistaken). Mali's Char Koay Teow is a perfect place for affordable and tasty food, especially having it with your friends in the hustle bustle of the city. After we finished our meal, we headed straight to find the path of Ampang Look Out Point.
It was quite tricky to go there but now that I have known the roads quite well, it should not be a problem anymore. Look at the breathtaking view of Kuala Lumpur city. Subhanallah, it was the best view ever for me.
There were a lot of visitors up there because it was during weekends so it was tough to find a parking spot. However I managed to park the car and Aliff and I walked to the many stalls up there and sat for a while. We ordered drinks while enjoying this view, can you imagine how lucky we were?
I imagine myself and my girl friend sitting here on the table, telling dreams of our wedding, the number of kids we are going to have and how we plan to grow old together. It is the perfect spot for me, just perfect!
After 15 minutes, Aliff and I headed back to the car. This is one of the stalls opened up there so you can take a seat and order food like Char Koay Teow, makanan goreng-goreng and light food such as otak-otak and roti bakar
Ampang Look Out Point is beautiful and I will surely come back. Some of my friends have asked me to drive them there so I will be coming back. This time around, I want to sit there for hours and do nothing but to appreciate God's creation. Seriously, you will feel how small you are compared to the world, and how magnificent Allah has created each and every one of us. This is the time for us to ponder about our weaknesses, and to acknowledge Allah as the Most Powerful.

Wowww, I had been there 2 years back. My uncle and his family brought me up there but it was during the day and the scenery and view not as cool as its during night.

It's cool, right? I've been there a few times to test signal for my mobile amateur radio set. But I haven't got any chance to stay, enjoy the view and drinks yet. Insya Allah soon.

Look Out Point has been reopen? Are the restaurants there such as The Haven still there or now only left the street stalls?

Unknown said...

Shirley: I think it has been reopened but only street stalls are operating there...so sad :(

Hi, I was just wondering if its still a good place to go to especially since I heard the place has been closed down before. Its been after all, 3-4 months since you posted this so I just thought of checking it with you =D

CCW: Based on my observation when I went there few months ago, the place has been opened but with only roadside stalls operating. There is no longer any restaurant operating but the view of Kuala Lumpur city centre is still fascinating as always :)
