Step by Wicked Step Tamil Version

My very first attempt to act and speak in Tamil for a video adaptation of "Step by Wicked Step" novel written by Anne Fine; such an interesting assignment for the subject "Literature in English Language Teaching Materials" where students were tasked to translate the dialogue to another language and act it out. Watch this video and tell me what do you think of my Tamil accent and acting skills :)

Below is the most generous comment given by my TESL senior, Pritpal Singh about my acting. Alhamdulillah, most of my classmates enjoyed this video. In fact, other group members did their best as well because I enjoyed watching their videos too.

And this morning, we had a brief "TESL Oscars" where prizes were given out for winners of this video competition and other assignments. Alhamdulillah, I won the award "Best Actor" for this Tamil video and I feel truly honored because my hard work in memorizing the scripts in Tamil really paid off. I must also thank my group members, Alexs who edited the video, Hema and Precintha, the translator and script writer for the English and Tamil videos, and Niwashini for helping out with the camera, narration and all the technical stuff. Thank you to Madam Mallika Vasugi for giving me the chance to feel the glimmer and glamour of such award; I am so humbled by it!

Alhamdulillah, for once I have won the tittle "Best Actor" in my life and I am looking forward for my acting career in future insyaallah :)

P/S: I would like to assure all of you to learn new languages as it is totally fun. TESL course is also very interesting; I love it!

Even though they have chosen the photo that I really don't like but I still appreciate the chances given.
For those who have not gotten the chance to buy The Star newspaper on Sunday, you guys and girls can take a read from the photo above.
A bit of sharing from Rouhollah, an international student in our faculty, Faculty of Educational Studies.

The Star Newspaper Photoshoot

:Background Music:
Kami Guru Malaysia
Alhamdulillah syukur! My friends, Hema, Rizal, Alaina, Emily and I were chosen to be featured in The Star newspaper article for Teacher's Day special. The article will be out this Sunday 19th of May 2013 insyaallah, so get your copies at the nearest news-stands alright!
This photo-shoot was done for two days at the Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. We were required to pose doing our everyday stuff in campus, such as discussing and studying among ourselves. It was a really exciting photo-shoot session because we had fun posing with our friends, while the other students were watching us.
Our literature lecturer, Madam Mallika Vasugi is the contributor/writer for The Star and she is the one writing the article about the perspective of English language teachers to be. We were asked about our memories celebrating Teacher's Day in school and also our perception and expectation about teaching profession.
These are the photos during our second day of photo-shoot. We had to laugh so much that our muscles started to sore. We were not sure of which photos that will be chosen so we did our best shot in every way that we can.
My response for the article about my memories celebrating Teacher's Day is "I would observe the teachers who received the most gifts from the students because I know that they have somehow changed their students' lives". It is true because the students appreciated them and they remain fresh in the students memory, and I would like to be that kind of a teacher.
When asked about my expectation for teaching profession, I said that "I want more gifts for myself; as in my students achievement and most importantly how I change their perspectives of life, can't wait!". Well, let us see how I turn out, whether I can change my students' lives or not.
That is all for today, don't forget to get your copy of The Star newspaper this Sunday, 19th of May 2013 for Teacher's Day special article. Take care and God bless :)

Acer Aspire P3 Convertible Ultrabook

Acer is introducing the all-new Acer Aspire P3 Convertible Ultrabook™ this month! Check out this YouTube video of an Acer and Intel story featuring Tiesto, a supermodel/DJ and a nice young man called Vernon doing their everyday stuff with the coolest Ultrabook in history!

Watch this video for more information and tell me how cool is this Acer Aspire P3 Convertible Notebook powered by 3rd Generation Intel Core i3 processor that is bound to exceed the industry's expectation of an Ultrabook/Tablet device.

This Ultrabook, inspired by Intel is very convenient because it is ultraportabledetachable and it features a Touch Centric facility all in one Ultrabook/Tablet device. I totally need one of this because it is so comfortable to carry around like in the YouTube video, especially for a super-busy blogger-student-journalist like me. General Erection

:Background Music:
Thank You by Alanis Morissette

Alhamdulillah; I just fulfilled my duty and exercised my right as a Malaysian to elect the most eligible candidate to represent Parlimen Baling and Dewan Undangan Negeri Kupang in Kedah. There was a pure excitement within me as that was the first time I voted for the General Election but deep inside I cried a little bit.

I cried while looking at the smudged landscape of our political scene; I cried because I do not trust both the Government and the Opposition sides anymore. I cried because there was so much hatred among Malaysians that they have started to blurt out racism to each other. I cried seeing some of my Muslim relatives becoming too fanatics that they have put a very thick wall amongst themselves. That was why I prayed that whichever party that wins the General Erection would try and heal the wounds of despair of our multiracial ties. Please try and make Malaysia a better country; try and forgive each other and work with EVERYONE to drive Malaysia to be a better place, even if it is not perfect. At least...we should see a decline in corruption, cronyism, and a lot of other problems stated by the most courageous Keyboard Warriors. Let us work together for the next five years and preserve Malaysia the way it should always be. I miss the old Malaysia that I have lived in when I was a child, now where have that place disappeared?

P/S: I call it General Erection because the pleasure of cum-ming to a winning does not last long and Malaysia needs a truly warm fore-play to start up the heat and get back on right track of develop-mance :)
